Help Tibetan Nuns, Inc., is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to monastic women and children living in Tibet and the Himalayan region.
The nuns we support are from very poor families and have no source of income. The nunneries provide them with housing, food and an education and they rely on donations to sustain themselves. The nuns work very diligently to help care for each other and to progress in their studies. They dedicate their lives to pray for the benefit of all sentient beings.
100% of your donations will help fund various initiatives and programs to address the most pressing needs of the nuns.
These vulnerable nuns are living in close quarters without running water or modern conveniences. They are susceptible to serious illnesses and diseases. This fund will cover essential medical expenses at the nunnery or at the hospital as needed.
A new dormitory, classrooms, dining hall, library and shrine have been under construction since 2019 for 100 nuns. Donations will go toward the completion of this project.
The current roof is leaking and in serious disrepair resulting in damage to the interior sacred paintings. Your donations will help secure a new roof to protect, weatherize and insulate the building.
Please consider contributing to the daily costs of running the nunnery, or support a nun in three-year-retreat. This includes food, blankets, lamps, heat, electricity, medicine, teaching material, transportation, and other expenses.
